Ready-to-Use Stem Cells

Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSCs or iPS Cells) are derived from somatic cells by reprogramming the cells back into an undifferentiated state. These iPSCs exhibit the essential characteristics of embryonic stem (ES) cells and offer great promise for cell-replacement therapies, regenerative medicine and disease modeling. ABM provides licenced iPS Cells of different origins and induction method from institutes around the world.

The reprogramming of human cord blood cells (CB) into induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs or iPS Cells) has great potential applications in future regenerative medicine due to its easy accessibility as compared to isolation of some other types of somatic cells. In collaboration with leading academic scientists, we have successfully developed a series of ready-to-use CB iPS Cells using lentivirus or non-viral EBNA1-based episomal vector of OCT4 and Sox2 that allows under the control of a potent Spleen Focus-forming Virus (SFFV) promoter. All the iPSCs are well-characterized to be authentic iPSCs allowing immediate downstream applications.
