Endotracheal Intubation Kits for Mice & Rats

With more in-vivo research being performed for COVID-19, the intubation of mice and rats continues to be a challenge for researchers. With an integrated anesthesia mask, our Intubation Kits allow the delivery of isoflurane during intubation. This feature provides the researcher the time necessary to successfully intubate a mouse or rat.

Use as a standalone intubation system or connect to your SurgiSuite Surgical Platform.

The Intubation Kit Includes

  • Intubation platform
  • Intubation stand with adjustable head positioning
  • Anesthesia mask for anesthesia delivery during intubation
  • Anesthesia mask tubing & connectors
  • Rechargeable USB LED light source
  • USB AC power adapter
  • 5-pack of catheters (20G for the Mouse Intubation Kit; 16G for the Rat Intubation Kit)
  • Suture (1 meter long)

Anesthesia Mask & Tubing Kits

This anesthesia mask and tubing kit allows for anesthesia delivery during intubation of mice and rats.

Endotracheal Tubes

Each endotracheal tube includes a safety wedge, designed to assist in insertion of the catheter into the trachea and minimize the chances of inserting the cannula too deeply. During intubation, the wedge will guide the catheter tip to the proper location between the larynx and carina. Once placed, the tight fit ensures bilateral ventilation and reduces air leaks from around the catheter.

  • 16 Gauge endotracheal tubes are 2″ in length
  • 20 and 22 Gauge endotracheal tubes are 1″ in length
